Quickly identify Guardian IS and other Low-E coatings in the field or factory.

Guardian IS Low-E Coatings are designed to be used on the interior surface of double-glazed and triple-glazed windows. The Interior Surface Low-E Detector (Model # RD1850) confirms which coating is present and that the window is installed correctly.

Ensure the window is coated properly in production:
The RD1850 will identify Guardian low-E coatings and classify them as:
      • Guardian IS-20
      • Guardian IS-15
      • Other Guardian High Performance Low-E coatings.

Satisfy your customers with a professional installation:
Use the meter to ensure a proper and professional installation. Even test the window in front of your customers to give them peace of mind that they received the energy saving coating on their new windows.

Intelligent OPTO-CLEAN technology ensures accurate readings:
New OPTO-CLEAN software built into the RD1850 detects the build-up of dirt on the lens and displays a warning instructing the user to clean the lens. The warning stops once the lens is cleaned, so the operator knows the meter is working properly.

Easy field calibration prevents down time:
Under normal conditions, the meter rarely requires calibration. In the event that a calibration becomes necessary, the meter can easily be calibrated in the field. Error protection is built-in to confirm that a valid calibration has occurred. Typically, there is no need to send the meter back to the factory for calibration. This saves money and prevents down time.

Common Applications:
The RD1850 can be used to ensure windows are coated properly at various points of the manufacturing process. In the field, verify coatings prior to installation or inspect and troubleshoot existing windows.
